This year we have seen a period of dry and sometimes quite warm weather and as a result a lot of activity out on the crags. People new to climbing may well be thinking of taking their first steps outdoors and buying a suitable rope will be a factor. There are several types of rope on the market and often beginners are confused by single, half, double and twin ropes.
