Mammut have released the first software update for their new (as of last winter) Barryvox and Barryvox S transceivers – version 3.0, called BarryHeart. The previous version was 2.0. The main feature of the new software is that it allows users to share the update device to device, so you don’t have to send your unit to a service centre if you know someone who’s already got it.
Other features of the new software are:
- Greater precision and speed of signal analysis
- Improved stability of the marking function in the case of signal overlaps
- Optimized direction display after reception of the first signal (improved behaviour in the event of 180° errors)
- Improved structure and stability of the list of buried subjects
- Revised battery life display
We strongly recommend you upgrade the software in your transceiver to the latest version. We can offer the update here at Facewest (see: transceiver software updates). Please note that the new software cannot be added to the old Pulse or Element transceivers, Mammut will not be releasing any more updates for these.
All Barryvox and Barryvox S transceivers purchased from Facewest are shipped with the latest software.
