Just as it starts to get cold, wet and dark outside, the Kendal Mountain Festival once again looms close to provide some inspiration to get you through the winter! With a whole host of fantastic films, speakers and workshops, together with art, photography and literary events, this is a not-to-be missed event from the 15th – 18th November.
The British Mountain Guides are once more supporting the Festival with several FREE events including some alpine skills workshops at the Kendal Wall and an afternoon of lectures on Sunday 18th. For anyone looking for inspiration for rock and alpine adventures, or some coaching in alpine ropework, these will be fantastic. For any of you interested in pushing your own climbing or skiing and thinking of hiring a guide, or wanting more info about the BMG, drop by their stall in the marquee all weekend. Also keep an eye out for lectures from 10-times Everest summiteer Kenton Cool, hardcore guy Andy Cave and ski mountaineer Jim Blythe.
