Our biggest and most varied range of new winter products is usually from Marmot – this year is no exception, we have 70 new or updated product lines. Our main focuses remain unchanged however with a focus on shells, insulation and gloves. Here’re a few of our new bits and pieces:
The Marmot Quasar Jacket is a really light down sweater which falls somewhere between a mid and outer layer. Thanks to Marmot’s use of stupidly high grade 900 fill power down it’s so light and compact that you can carry it with you pretty much all the time as an extra boost of warmth when conditions demand.
The Womens Sling Shot is a weatherproof down jacket designed for skiing in really cold conditions. It features a completely waterproof Membrain fabric outer to protect the down. Ideal for those long, windy chairlift rides.
Cold Hands Much? The 8000 Meter Mitt is possibly the warmest expedition mitt we sell. It features a GORE-TEX outer and removable down insulated liner. As the name suggests this glove was designed for the Himalayas but it’s also a great choice for polar use or as a massively warm belay mitt for winter alpine use. It’s probably overkill for walking the dog though.
The Marmot Hut Tour Glove is their new top of the line, ultra-gucci ski glove. It features a GORE-TEX XCR insert and more leather reinforcement than you can shake a Poma bar at. The Thermal R liner is removable for fast drying and the Driclime wicks brilliant. Basically, the Hut Tour Glove is a bit lush.
