For this season our Mountain Equipment Range is a mix of evolution and revolution with new colours and designs of the popular classics alongside some great new pieces – especially in the snowsports lines. Here are just some of the new lines:
The Pamir Jacket is an all-mountain snowports jacket designed to stand up to the most challenging environments. It combines the weatherproofing of GORE-TEX Performance Shell with Polarloft Eco insulation to make for a hardwearing, cozy mountain piece.
The Vega is one of the updated classics in the line up. It is largely unchanged aside from the hood and collar which have undergone a radical overhaul utilising ME’s unique EXL technology. This basically elasticates the baffles in the hood in such a way as they gently cradle your head and neck, removing dead air and preventing drafts. The new hood is fully helmet compatible.
The Pulsar is a new softshell jacket and is quite possibly the most weatherproof softshell ME have ever produced. It is a hybrid of Polartec Powershield Pro and GORE WINDSTOPPER. These two fabrics are panelled together so as to maximise breathability where needed without compromising weather resistance. This is also a fantastically durable jacket so it would be ideal for alpine rock and scottish mixed climbing.
The Assault Glove is designed for technical mountaineering. It combines a highly durable outer fabric with a complicated cut and light insulation to produce a glove which is both incredibly tough and highly dexterous. Ideal for scottish winter climbing.
