Last Sunday was the 3rd round of the Open 5 series. As always a combination of foot and bike score orienteering with a total time limit of 5 hours This round was just about on home turf in Haworth. Weather was mainly dry but plenty of mud and the odd bit of old snow. The transition was in the old quarry on the moor top and the course took in Ogden Water and stairs lane plus plenty of generally featureless Bronte moor. Tim & I had a great day and took the win in the male pairs and the series lead thanks to the absence of the Powell brothers. The Open 5 series is your best 3 scores out of 5 events. The 4th event is March 7th in Sedbergh where we will try to better our lowest score to date and consolidate our series position.
