A new emergency headlamp from Petzl. Weighing only 27g or 46g with the case it really is super light. The E+Lite features 3 white LED’s and 1 red one, 2 power settings and a flashing mode. It uses 2 watch batteries as it’s power source and is waterproof to 1m. The batteries have a shelf life of 10 years so the E+Lite will always be ready. The idea is you can just chuck it in the bottom of your pack, bumbag or car and forget about it but when your primary light source fails out comes the E+Lite. It will also appeal to adventure racers and ski tourers as the lightest proximity light on the market, although you won’t see much past a few metres.
Coming out in time for Christmas and costing £25 the E+Lite could (and should) be in every car and pack in the country by New Year
