As winter steadily approaches it either time to start getting fit for winter or to consolidate on the good work done this summer. We have touched on the subject of fitness before in the post Keep fit for Skiing but it’s time for another little reminder.
If you have let it go this summer or are thinking of hanging up your wheels or trainers 3 months before the season starts you will waste your precious skiing time wheezing like an asmatic donkey or massaging your thighs in disbelief when the good stuff finally arrives.
It might be a bit dreary outside but switch to mountain biking and road running to keep those muscles active, plus a session or two in the gym and leave the others in your wake when you head to the mountains.
